Over 36 million American adults have some degree of hearing loss. That is over 4 times the amount of people who live in New York City. The statistics are shocking and even more so knowing that over half of those 36 million Americans are under the age of 65. Hearing loss is an increasing health concern in this nation that is often preventable. Taking time to see an audiologist for regular hearing screenings and knowing the signs of hearing loss can protect your hearing. Tustin Hearing Center is encouraging you to make an appointment with an audiologist this October during National Audiology Awareness Month.
We are often asked if the hearing aids sold at Costco are the same as the products that are fit in the private clinic. The answer is similar to the famous Hertz commercial, “not exactly.”

Dr. Janell Reid, founded Tustin Hearing Center in 1989 with the desire to help people in their journey to better hearing. “Our goal each time we consult with a patient is to provide the best experience for them with the best outcome. Patients come to us with many different hearing losses, hearing problems, and listening needs. It is our job to introduce them to the hearing solution that is right for them and guide them through the process.” 30 years later we have continued to do just that! With the support of the community, a great staff, and wonderful patients, the clinic has helped over 20,000 patients in their journey to better hearing.
The most common listening situation that patients with hearing loss have in common are loud and noisy restaurants. Imagine you go out with friends or family for a nice meal and all you hear is noise! This situation is not only frustrating but causes many individuals to stop going to restaurants altogether. Here are some tips and tricks for managing noise in a loud restaurant.
