Every hearing aid manufacturer has a recommended fitting guideline based on hearing loss, but it is only a starting point. One of the many processes we have in place to ensure our patients’ success with their investment in better hearing is called Live Speech Mapping. Live Speech Mapping is a fitting and verification method we use to ensure your hearing aids are programmed AND personalized to meet your unique hearing loss and individual needs. During Live Speech Mapping, small microphones are placed in your ear canal to help us distinguish the differences in how you are able to hear speech while wearing your hearing aids! We have high-tech equipment that allows us to actually “see” what you are hearing through your hearing aids on a screen in real time, and we can display this process on a larger screen for you to see the adjustments and participate. You can even bring along a family member or close friend with a familiar voice to “gauge” your ability to hear live voices.

The understanding and use of this technique distinguish excellent providers from the average, and at Tustin Hearing Center we feel your hearing deserves the very best. Make an appointment today and be Live Speech Mapped!
