Janell D. Reid, Au.D.

Career Path:
Family members paved the way for my career in Audiology. My cousin Diane, born with profound hearing loss, introduced me to finger spelling and sign language at a young age. My cousin Starla, introduced me to her work at John Tracy Clinic while I was still in high school. My sister Kathy chose a career as an educator specializing in helping hearing impaired students. It was an easy and natural decision to study communicative disorders, hearing impairment, and to specialize in Audiology. The degree in Audiology was only the beginning of a career that has been incredibly gratifying and filled with life long learning.

Audiology Degrees:
Doctor of Audiology: Arizona School of Health Sciences/AT Still University
Master of Arts in Audiology: California State University, Northridge
Bachelor of Arts Communicative Disorders: California State University, Northridge

Rewards:
The most rewarding aspect of my work is treating the thousands of patients that I have met and worked with over the years. Hearing loss affects people in various ways. Getting to know patients, their needs and providing solutions for “better hearing” that will enable them to be their functional best is my reward.

What I Offer My Patients:
Experience, patience, and the desire to help them in their “journey to better hearing.” My goal each time I consult with a patient is to provide the best experience for them with the best outcome. Patients come to me with many different hearing losses, hearing problems, and listening needs. It is my job to introduce them to the hearing solution that is right for them and guide them through the process.
